Agreement
These Terms of Use are between you and Nerdy Executive Labs Inc., the owner and operator of Book Guru. By using Book Guru, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Book Guru may also be subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement for apps distributed through the App Store, except where these terms provide additional app-specific rules.
What Book Guru Provides
Book Guru helps you scan and manage books, track reading, rate and review books, keep notes, understand your reading taste, compare fit scores, and discover books that may suit you.
Recommendations, fit scores, summaries, ratings context, availability, and AI explanations are informational only. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or not suitable for your preferences.
Accounts and Security
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and devices secure. You must provide accurate account information and may not impersonate another person.
You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account unless caused by Book Guru's failure to use reasonable security practices.
Your Content
You keep ownership of notes, ratings, reviews, library entries, taste preferences, circle posts, and other content you add to Book Guru.
You grant Book Guru a limited license to host, process, display, back up, and use your content as needed to provide, personalize, secure, and improve the service.
Do not upload content you do not have rights to use, private information about others without permission, harmful content, or content that violates law or these terms.
Community and Circles
If you use circles or shared features, be respectful. Do not harass, threaten, spam, or abuse other users.
Book Guru may remove content, limit access, or suspend accounts that misuse community features or create legal, safety, or security risk.
Subscriptions and Purchases
Premium features may require an in-app purchase or subscription through Apple's App Store. Pricing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment processing are handled by Apple according to your App Store account settings and Apple's terms.
Unless otherwise stated in the app, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled through Apple at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Current public pricing guidance is available on the Pricing Guide. Final prices may vary by country or region and are shown by Apple before purchase.
Affiliate Links and Third-Party Services
Book Guru may include links to retailers or book data sources. As an Amazon Associate, Book Guru may earn from qualifying purchases. This does not affect your price.
Third-party websites, stores, APIs, and services are governed by their own terms and policies. Book Guru is not responsible for third-party content, availability, prices, ratings, or purchases.
Acceptable Use
Do not reverse engineer the app, scrape or overload the service, bypass access controls, abuse AI or scanning features, interfere with security, or use Book Guru to violate law or third-party rights.
Do not use Book Guru as a substitute for professional, legal, medical, financial, academic, or safety advice.
Availability and Changes
Book Guru may change, suspend, or discontinue features, models, data sources, or availability. We try to preserve your reading data, but uninterrupted service is not guaranteed.
We may update these terms as the app changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Book Guru is provided as is and as available. To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the extent allowed by law, Book Guru and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost goodwill.
Termination and Contact
You may stop using Book Guru at any time and may request account deletion in Profile > Settings > Data & Privacy. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or risks to the app, users, or service providers.
